Pete Wilson, long time KGO anchorman and KGO radio host died last Friday during surgery for a hip replacement. I listened to Pete almost every day on KGO and he happened to be a neighbor of my parents. It's a very sad day for those who knew him in person or through the radio. Pete was the type of host who never hid himself from his audience. You always knew what mood he was in, if he was happy or bothered or angry or depressed. He made you feel like a friend and I think that's why so many people feel so saddened by his passing. I also know that he used to act in musical theatre when he was younger. We've all heard it a thousand times, but try to live each day as if it were your last. You just never know what will happen.
